# How To Make It:

01 - For cream cheese & cucumber: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, dill, salt, and pepper until smooth. For egg salad: Mash eggs in a bowl, then mix with mayonnaise, Dijon, chives, salt, and pepper. For herbed butter: Combine softened butter with parsley and lemon juice; season with black pepper.
02 - Lay out all bread slices. Using a large heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out as many hearts as possible from each slice.
03 - Spread cream cheese mixture on half the white bread hearts, top with cucumber slices, and sandwich with another bread heart. Spread egg salad on half the whole wheat hearts, top with another bread heart. Spread herbed butter on half the remaining white or rye bread hearts, top with smoked salmon, and sandwich with another heart.
04 - Arrange the finished sandwiches on a large serving board, alternating varieties for visual appeal.
05 - Garnish the board with radish slices, microgreens, edible flowers, and lemon wedges.
06 - Serve immediately, or cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 2 hours before serving.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • These look like you spent hours but actually come together in under 40 minutes
  • The variety of fillings means every guest finds something they love
02 -
  • Cover the finished board with a light cloth if not serving immediately, even for 15 minutes, because these dry out fast
  • Press each sandwich gently but firmly after assembling so the fillings settle evenly
03 -
  • Save the bread scraps for breadcrumbs or croutons to avoid waste
  • Mix a tiny pinch of salt into the herbed butter to amplify all the flavors
